Bharti Airtel’s Q4 results for FY25 are a blockbuster, with net profit rocketing by 432% year-on-year to ₹11,022 crore. This massive spike, up from ₹2,072 crore last year, reflects strong operational execution, higher mobile ARPU, and a rebound in Africa’s business. Consolidated revenue rose 27% YoY to ₹47,876 crore, boosted by premiumisation, customer additions, and the full impact of Indus Towers consolidation. For Indian investors and traders, this performance signals strong fundamentals and improved earnings visibility.

India Operations Drive Strong Financial Momentum

Airtel’s India business clocked ₹36,735 crore in Q4 revenue — a 28.8% YoY increase and 6% growth QoQ. The mobile segment continued to perform well, thanks to smartphone user additions (up 6.6 million QoQ) and ARPU holding steady at ₹245. The Homes business also posted robust 21.3% YoY revenue growth, with record customer additions of 2.4 million, led by the FTTH and FWA segments.

Despite a dip of 2.7% in Airtel Business revenue due to strategic withdrawal from low-margin services, the company stayed firm on focusing on quality growth. Notably, it added 3.3k towers and 13.6k mobile broadband stations in Q4 alone to enhance its network footprint.

Strong Operational Metrics Fuel Investor Confidence

Airtel’s EBITDA surged to ₹27,404 crore, with a healthy margin of 57.2%. For the India business alone, EBITDA stood at ₹22,024 crore, marking a 6.3% YoY rise. Net income before exceptional items grew 76.9% to ₹5,223 crore, reflecting sustained core performance.

The company’s mobile data usage rose 21.2% YoY, reaching an average of 25.1 GB per user per month. With 24 million new smartphone users added in the past year and a 0.6 million boost in postpaid users this quarter, Airtel continues to strengthen its premium subscriber base.
